Keep working. That's the job.

No tasks to pick up and nothing to annotate. AI labs train coding agents on real repositories at real commits, and the best source is work that already happened.

Step 1

Install and sign in

One binary, one GitHub sign-in in the browser. benchturn connects every coding agent it finds on the machine.

Step 2

Work as usual

Each prompt in a git repository records the tree before and after, plus the transcript. Uploads run in the background on a timer; your agent never slows down.

Step 3

Get paid on every sale

Sessions on public repositories with real work become environments. When a lab licenses one, you get a share of the sale.

⌘K

Everything, one command away

Run benchturn with no arguments to sign in, connect new agents and see your status. Search the rest.

Recorded with care. Shared with less.

What leaves your machine, what never does, and where a session goes after that.

    Recorded

For each prompt in a git repository

    • The repository's tree before the prompt and after the agent stops, so the change replays exactly
    • The transcript of that turn: your prompt, the agent's messages, the tools it called
    • The model name and a timestamp
    Never

    Never recorded or shared

    • Keys, tokens, passwords and .env files. A secret scan runs on your machine before upload and again at ingest.
    • Your name. A lab gets the public repository, prompts and transcript, with no account information.
    • Anything in a repo with a .gen-ignore file, or outside a git repository.

    Where a session goes

We email you when a state changes. A session that is not a fit is deleted.

    Getting paid

    1st of the month

Payouts cover everything owed by the 25th of the month before. PayPal, Wise, or sponsor a GitHub account instead, such as your own project.

    Past sessions count too

Run benchturn past and your own agent reads the sessions already on disk, picks the ones on public repositories with real work, checks each for private material and shows you the list. Nothing uploads until you say yes. The instructions it follows are public at benchturn.com/agents.md.

    Your data, your call

Captures live on your machine until they upload, and a copy stays. benchturn delete removes one from both places. benchturn uninstall takes the hooks out of every agent and leaves your agents' files as they were.

    Questions

    Which agents are supported?
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, Cline, Pi and OpenCode. Codex asks you to approve the hooks once with /hooks; Cline has a Hooks switch under Settings → Features. benchturn init prints both steps.
    What makes a session qualify?
A real project on a public repository (a library, app or tool other people use, with tests or a way to check a change) and real work on it: a bug fixed, a feature added, a refactor carried through. Best of all, you steered the agent. Private repositories can be recorded for you, but only public ones become environments.
    How much do I get?
A share of the sale each time a lab licenses one of your sessions. Invited contributors also get a $20 welcome payment once their first three sessions are in. Everything you are owed shows on your portal with the next payout date.
Does it slow my agent down?
No. Uploads run in the background on a timer and nothing waits on them. benchturn pause stops recording for a while; benchturn resume starts it again.
    How do I stop?
benchturn ignore excludes one repository. benchturn logout stops recording on this machine. benchturn uninstall removes the hooks from every agent.
